Controller

SIA Platinium, registration number 40203106117, Meža prospekts 62–8, Jūrmala, LV-2010, Latvia. Privacy and support contact: info@platinium.tech.

Local app data

Images, scans, categories, titles and OCR text are stored and encrypted within the app. There is no separate PrivatSafe account. Local use does not give Platinium access to your document content or local encryption key. Biometrics remain under operating-system control; the app receives the authentication result.

Optional sync and backups

Enabling iOS sync stores encrypted Safe data in your private Apple CloudKit database. Apple processes account and technical service data under its own terms. Depending on system settings, device backups may transfer app data to Apple or Google. Android has no CloudKit sync. Recovery and portable archives require the correct recovery code and complete backup. Where needed, delete cloud data and backups separately through system settings.

Camera, photos and OCR

The camera, scanner and photo picker are used for actions you initiate. System permissions are voluntary; related features are unavailable without them. OCR processes document text on the device. The Android scanner uses Google system components which may need to be downloaded.

Sharing, PIN and exports

You choose recipients and transfer services. On iOS, encrypted packages may be sent through AirDrop, for example. A separate transfer PIN is required. Recipients may retain their own copies after decryption. Platinium does not operate a document transfer service for this. Never enter recovery codes, device passcodes or actual identity documents into the support form.

Purchases

Purchases and entitlement restoration use Apple or Google. These stores process payment, account and transaction information under their own privacy notices. The app checks purchase entitlements; Platinium does not receive complete payment details from the payment dialog. A planned cross-platform purchase switch-code service is not yet available.

Website and support form

The hosting provider processes connection and security data needed to deliver the shop, including IP address, request time and requested address. The support form processes your email, optional device information, selected language and message to handle your request, sending it by email to info@platinium.tech. No document upload is provided. A security nonce and short-lived pseudonymised rate limits protect against abuse. The shop's general privacy notice covers other shop functions and any consent choices.

Purposes and legal bases

Support and contract-related requests: GDPR Article 6(1)(b); secure website delivery and abuse prevention: (f); statutory retention: (c). Optional processing requiring consent relies on (a); consent can be withdrawn for the future. Email and message are needed for a support response; using the form is voluntary. The PrivatSafe form does not perform automated decision-making or profiling.

Recipients, retention and rights

Relevant staff and hosting/email providers receive support data only as necessary. The shop's general privacy notice additionally covers these providers and any third-country transfers; Apple/Google services have their own notices. Support correspondence is retained only while needed for handling the request and applicable statutory evidence obligations. Local documents remain until you delete them; manage your exports, recipients' copies and backups separately. Subject to the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and object, and complain to Latvia's Datu valsts inspekcija or your competent authority. Contact: info@platinium.tech.
