Version: 24 October 2020. This notice covers shop.platinium.tech. Product applications may have additional notices linked from their own websites.
1. Controller and contact
SIA Platinium is the controller for shop accounts, orders, support and the operation of this shop. Use contact@platinium.tech for privacy requests or the postal address above. No appointed data protection officer is stated; enquiries are handled by the company.
2. What we process and why
- Browsing and security: IP address, request time, requested URL, HTTP status, browser/device information and security events are processed to deliver the site, investigate errors and prevent abuse. The basis is our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the service (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). IP addresses and identifiers may be personal data.
- Accounts and orders: name, email, account identifiers, password hash, billing/delivery address, order contents, totals and correspondence are processed to prepare and perform your contract (Article 6(1)(b)). Required checkout fields are necessary to fulfil the purchase; optional information is identified in the form.
- Payments: we exchange order references, amount, currency, contact/billing information, payment status and payment-provider identifiers with the chosen provider. Mollie handles payment details and payment-security checks as an independent controller under its privacy statement. If you choose an offered PayPal method, PayPal Europe processes the corresponding payment under its privacy notice. Payment credentials are not requested by email. Processing is based on contract performance, legal obligations and the legitimate interest in preventing fraud, as applicable.
- Subscriptions: after your separate explicit paid order, provider customer/mandate/subscription identifiers and confirmed payment events are used to administer renewals, cancellation and paid access. A free trial does not create a payment mandate.
- Support, returns and withdrawal: contact details, order reference, notices and their timestamps are used to handle enquiries and statutory rights (Articles 6(1)(b), (c) and, where applicable, (f)).
- Accounting and claims: contract, invoice and transaction records are retained where required by Latvian tax/accounting law or necessary to establish or defend legal claims (Articles 6(1)(c) and (f)).
3. Cookies and language choices
Essential cookies support the basket, account authentication and security. See the specific cookie information for names, purposes and lifetimes. Optional advertising and order-attribution tracking are not needed for a purchase. No consent is inferred from merely browsing this shop.
Translation can send the displayed page text, IP address and technical request data to Google and set a language-preference cookie. Do not use browser translation to disclose passwords or payment credentials. The English source remains available without requesting translation. Google explains its processing at policies.google.com/privacy. Your selected language is preserved where supported.
4. Recipients and international processing
The shop uses WordPress and WooCommerce on JustHost hosting, with Newfold/Endurance group infrastructure and technical service providers. Hosting involves server requests, stored shop data and security logs. Relevant hosting/data-processing terms and the host’s privacy information describe its processor arrangements. The service is not advertised as exclusively hosted inside the EEA. Providers may process data in the United States or other countries.
The hosting provider publishes its processing terms and international-transfer information at Newfold Privacy Center. Processing outside the EEA requires the applicable transfer safeguards. Contact contact@platinium.tech for the recipients, safeguards and relevant contractual information relating to your records. The obsolete EU–US Privacy Shield is not used as a transfer basis.
We disclose the information necessary for your order to the payment provider you select, delivery/fulfilment providers where needed for physical goods, professional accounting/technical advisers under appropriate confidentiality obligations, and authorities when legally required. We do not sell shop account or order data. Provider fraud controls may involve automated analysis; a payment refusal can be queried with the relevant provider and with us.
5. Retention
Basket sessions normally expire after two days. Account data is retained while needed for the account and service; you may request closure. Order, invoice, withdrawal and contract records are retained for the applicable statutory accounting/tax periods and, where necessary, the period needed to resolve claims. Security and access logs are kept only as required for operation, error investigation and security incidents, taking the hosting retention cycle into account. Data no longer needed is deleted or access restricted; backup copies expire through the applicable backup cycle. We can explain the period or criteria for the particular records relating to your request.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and information about recipients. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need to verify identity proportionately before releasing account information. You may complain to Latvia’s Data State Inspectorate or the supervisory authority in your country. Contact contact@platinium.tech; we respond within the applicable GDPR time limits.
7. Security and changes
HTTPS protects transport to the shop. Access controls, password hashing, restricted administrative access and backups support security. This does not guarantee that every device, provider or system is immune from compromise. We do not request shop passwords, card details or device configuration secrets through ordinary support email. Material changes to this notice are dated here.
Product-specific privacy notices
Learning and health diaries have separate data flows. Read AmyMath privacy information for learners and parents and KimDiaryPain privacy information before using these services. A shop order or general enquiry consent does not authorise sensitive-health-data processing or replace any parental authorisation required by law.
